Our blog's origin can be traced back in the year 2015. We created Otakore Literantadodist as a moniker for our book review blog called Literateknolohitura (merged to Sabi ni Roy blog). Otakore is a combination of "otaku" a Japanese meaning for the obsession with geek stuff + "kore" for hardcore (we're not even hardcover).

We're targeting two distinct niches at that time using Otakore. We blog about anime stuff and at the same time, we also blog about books/literature. You know, we just love both.

In the year 2018, we changed it into Stash of Otakore because we're selling pre-loved toys and other collectible stuff from our stash.

And in the year 2022, we finally decided to change it to just Otackore. We changed it due to a clan in South Africa contesting the usage of it. I didn't mind the issue way back around the year I used it in 2015. I'm not sure why but a couple of African peeps contacted me saying it's a disgrace that I'm using the pen name "Otakore" because their brother's name is Otakore. Maybe a renowned pastor in their region? Plus, some people are using it too as a nickname. I want a unique persona, so I decided to rename it "Otackore" (what I a big difference in naming LOL).
