Our blog's origin can be traced back in the year 2015. We created Otakore Literantadodist as a moniker for our book review blog called Literateknolohitura (merged to Sabi ni Roy blog). Otakore is a combination of "otaku" a Japanese meaning for the obsession with geek stuff + "kore" for hardcore (we're not really).
We're targeting two distinct niches at that time using Otakore. We blog about anime stuff and at the same time, we also blog about books/literature. You know, we just love both.
In 2018, we changed it into Stash of Otakore because we sell pre-loved toys and other collectible stuff from our stash.
And in the year 2022, we finally decided to change it to just Otackore. We changed it due to a clan in South Africa contesting the usage of it. I didn't mind the issue way back around the year I used it in 2015. I'm not sure why but a couple of African peeps contacted me saying it's a disgrace that I'm using the pen name "Otakore" because their brother's name is Otakore. Maybe a renowned pastor in their region? Plus, some people are using it too as a nickname. I want a unique persona, so I decided to rename it "Otackore" (what a big difference in naming LOL).
